I can tell you that I'm experiencing similar issues moving to 3.3. I log in OK but moving to other parts of the site, I get prompts to log in again and they don't seem to work. I just rolled back to a backup. My site is still under development so we can play a little bit to see what's going on if you want.

I will hold off on rolling back to previous version so that you can see any potential differences between our two sites.

jchungerford,
Thanks for updating my credentials. It seems like you have the "Automatically Generate Password" setting as "No" in JFBConnect, which means I can only login with Facebook (a standard Joomla credentials account wasn't created for me). Can you send me credentials for a super admin account? That will let us get in the admin area, see your settings and then also test with our separate Facebook account, which can be helpful.

Joe,
Are you having this issue if you login with standard Joomla user accounts, and not just Facebook connections? If you can install the latest release and send us super admin credentials as well, we'll gladly investigate further to see what could be happening on your site.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex/Joe,

Some just pointed out that Jomsocial has issues with J3.3.0 so I am upgrading my Jomsocial component to the latest 3.2.0.3 and will report on if this fixes the issue or not.

Ahhhh! The issue described there seems to be very likely the cause.. or at least definitely a part of it. Both of your sites are using JomSocial as well.

We actually just tested on a JomSocial 3.1 installation and were noticing the logging out issues. It only happened when we navigated to a page that loaded JomSocial (either a part of it in a module or a main component page). Other pages kept us logged in just fine. We were just starting to debug to see if it was something in JFBConnect or related to your issues above. Guess I should have checked their blog first :)

Please keep me posted if that fixes the problem you're having as we're very curious as well. We'll be updating to JomSocial 3.2 shortly to test and see what happens as well, but would love to hear your feedback on developed sites.

Thanks!
Alex

Thanks so much for reporting back. We were totally confused. We were able to recreate the logging out issue on a previous version of JomSocial, but wasn't sure if it was exactly what you were describing.

Either way, I'm very happy to hear you found the solution. We had been testing with Joomla 3.3.0 betas and RC's all through April and even released an update for JFBConnect to fix the one minor issue we found.. I'm glad to hear we didn't miss something much more obvious like you were describing.

As always though, should you find something else, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex
