That's definitely not good. We tested Release Candidate 1 with IE7 and it was working, but if it's not with 3.0.0, we'll get a patch out immediately. We already have a 3.0.1 patch planned for later this week for a few very minor bugs. We'll do everything we can to get IE7 compatibility into that release.

I just tested and it does work with IE8 in IE7 compatibility mode, not that that's much consolation.

I'll post anything we find out, and thanks for letting us know.

Just wanted to follow up on this. We just tested JFBConnect on both the demo site and this site with IE7. In both cases, we found some minor graphical problems with the sites themselves, but the Facebook functionality allowed us to log in just fine.

Can you let us know what website your using JFBConnect on so we can test IE7 on that site and see what happens? Also, if you can give any errors, messages, or any other information on 'what' doesn't work, that'd be great to help us out.

Thanks for the feedback.

P.S. We even tried IE6 and, again, there were worse graphical issues, but the Facebook login functionality performed just as expected.

We see an operation aborted on our JFBConnect product page. It's caused by the embedded YouTube video. It's something we'll be fixing, but if we try to login from the home page (or any other page), we don't see this error.

Definitely let us know when you have something we can look at. Would love to get to the bottom of the problem.

Thanks!

You Should try IE Compatibility plugin.

This plugin automatically activate Internet Explorer 8 / 9 Compatibility View. Visitors who use this browser will see your web site without display problems although it isn't optimized for Internet Explorer 8 / 9

Free Download

We'll be doing some testing later today with IE7 and IE8 on Windows XP because of another issue (with IE8) that's been reported just on that OS. We'll include this in our testing and see if we can recreate and fix the issue. Can you let us know what OS you're using? We don't have a Vista system to test with, so hopefully XP can recreate it. We also test extensively in Win7/IE8.

Sorry for the troubles, and we'll let you know what we find.

Aleksander,
Can you give a little more description as to when you see this problem? Is it on every page, and therefore you can't use your site, or do you get the operation aborted error only on login or logout, or after you've been logged-in, etc?

We tested quickly today with WinXP SP2 and we weren't able to see the operation aborted, but we weren't exactly sure how to test.

Also, if you try to perform the same action on this site or our demo site, do you have the same results (sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/demo)?

Thanks!
