Email Verification was created by rjmel
Hi,

Is there a way that I can access SC Login's HTML code in order to remove a required field in the register area of the module?

I have people that want to log in to the company's site, but do not want to disclose their email address. Is there a way that we can just remove that from the register option so there is no email verification needed in order to register?
Thank you!

The SCLogin module doesn't perform any registration functions. When you click the "Register" button, the user is redirected to Joomla's standard (built-in) registration page. We don't have any control over that page.

To answer your question a little further though, Joomla currently requires an email address for each user. I believe there are plugins that disable that requirement, but I don't know of any to recommend off-hand. Additionally, just so you know, when you disable the email activation requirement, you are opening your site up to a lot of spammy registrations. There are other tools out there to help minimize those as well and it's not something that should prevent you from doing what you're looking to do, but something to be aware of.

I hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, let me know. We'll try to answer however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
