SMTP connect failed

The SCLogin doesn't actually perform the "Forgot Password" or "Forgot Username" functions. Those are just links to the built-in Joomla functionality to retrieve that information. The SCLogin module isn't trying to send any emails at all.

I'd recommend verifying your SMTP settings in the Joomla Global Configuration area and/or testing those links with the standard mod_login module. You should see the same behavior with them there as well.

Unfortunately, I don't have a great answer as to why those features are working differently than other aspects of the site you mention, but hopefully the above helps you narrow things down.

Definitely strange. Not sure what would have changed in the latest Joomla, but either way, I'm glad we could help narrow it down... and that it wasn't our fault in the first place.. we hate bugs
