Modal popup not working was created by TomR

I've read a bit on the forum but I'm not understanding what the conflict is on my site. I'm using a number of third party extensions along with Rockettheme's Acacia template. It would be nice to set the module up in the main menu area to behave in a similar fashion as it does on this site. I'm at twinroot.net with just demo content at the moment. I have the module in the sidebar of the news page. Any insight that you could provide would be most hlepful.

Tom,
We use the SCLogin module on this site. We have it configured for text links and have it set to the top module position on our site. You can likely do something similar with your template, but you'd need to integrate it into your styles as it wouldn't look exactly like your template by default.

Another option is to use the button type and have the module in the top right of your template. That will add a pretty blue "Login" button, and you can have it bring up a modal login view just like on this site.

Thanks for getting back to me Alex. I suspected that the setup would be as you are describing. I'll play around with it a bit.

However, the main issue I wish to resolve is the modal setting not working. When I click on the login button nothing happens and I'm trying to find out if it is a conflict with the template, an extension, or whatever. Is that something that you could assist me with?

Your missing some required Javascript files on that page. Can you go to the JFBConnect -> Configuration area and set "Include jQuery" to "Yes". That should make things work for you.
