Hello!

For my web site (www.venturaluca.com/jupgrade2) I have installed:

a) Joomla ver. 2.5.14
b) Latest version of "SourceCoast Social Bundle" (JFBConnect 5.1.2 and JLinked 2.2.0) - NOTE: I have subscription active!
c) SCLogin module (ver 3.1.2)

I installed SCLogin modue in the headerbar (top-right corner) of my Yootheme template. I have some problems with SCLogin modules:

a) If I use "Modal PopUp view" in my home page (www.venturaluca.com/jupgrade2) doesn't appear the pop-up window when I push the button "Accedi" (Login in) to authenticate to my web site;
b) If I use "Always visibile" in login view settings there are two problems in the home-page. First of all an image icon doesn't appear ( I suppose is "Facebook"'s image icon) in the SCLogin module's front-end: the related link seems to be broken, in fact a question mark "?" appears instead of the image icon. Then if I I click on the question mark ("?") the login facebook window appears: I insert the correct credentials but nothing happens!! (no authentication process is executed). Why?
c) If I enable FBCSubscribe component ver. 4.2.0 (I called this module "SEGUIMI SU FACEBOOK" in my Joomla admin panel) of JFBConnect I obtain the following PHP Error:

ATAL ERROR: CALL TO UNDEFINED METHOD JFBCONNECTPROVIDERFACEBOOK::GETUSERID() IN /HSPHERE/LOCAL/HOME/VENTURAL/VENTURALUCA.COM/JUPGRADE2/MODULES/MOD_JFBCSUBSCRIBE/MOD_JFBCSUBSCRIBE.PHP ON LINE 20

Is there some incompatibility between SCLogin and this module?

If you want I can send to you in private (let me know you account to which to send this information) all the data to access my Joomla admin panel and check by yourself the problems above.

Let me know,

Thanks a lot,

Luca

a) If I use "Modal PopUp view" in my home page (www.venturaluca.com/jupgrade2) doesn't appear the pop-up window when I push the button "Accedi" (Login in) to authenticate to my web site;

In the Configuration area of JFBConnect, please set the "Include JQuery" setting to "Yes". That may clear up the issue. If not, we'd need to see the module in popup mode to determine why it's not loading properly.

b) If I use "Always visibile" in login view settings there are two problems in the home-page. Why?

Something's wrong with the installation of JFBConnect. The following files are all not loading, which are the images for those buttons. There could also be other required files missing that could cause problems (like the modal popup):
http://venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourcecoast/images/provider/icon_facebook.png
http://venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourcecoast/images/provider/button_facebook.png
http://venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourcecoast/images/provider/icon_google.png
http://venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourcecoast/images/provider/button_google.png
To fix, I'd recommend re-installing the JFBConnect component package which should check and update any missing files.

c) If I enable FBCSubscribe component ver. 4.2.0 (I called this module "SEGUIMI SU FACEBOOK" in my Joomla admin panel) of JFBConnect I obtain the following PHP Error:

The JFBCSubscribe module has been discontinued. Please replace with the JFBCFollow module.

I hope that helps,
Alex

The modal popup is working fine for me when I test. I didn't access the admin area as it worked right away. Can you try from another browser?

As for the images not showing, I'm not sure why that would be. When you re-installed JFBConnect, were there any warning or error messages? I'd also recommend checking the directory permissions of each directory along the path to make sure they're readable by Apache:
/media/sourcecoast/images/provider/icon_facebook.png

While checking permissions, simply make sure that each of those directories exist. If so, let me know what files are in that final /provider directory.

I hope that helps, but if not, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello!!

I tried to access to: www.venturaluca.com/jupgrade2 from Safari (6.0.5) and Google Chrome (30.0.1599.101) from my Mac but modal pop up view doesn't work. In fact I tried to push the button "Accedi" (on the top-right corner of the home page) but nothing happens except that in the url of browser appears: venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/index.php/it/#login-modal

When I reinstalled JFBConnet no error-message appears.

I pray you to test all the stuff from my Joomla Admin panel using credentials I sent to you. So you can try to re-install JFB Connect component by yourself: you will see that the result will be that one I told you.

Thanks,

Luca

I solved the problem with "popup modal view"....now authentication window appears correctly! The problem was a conflict with Jquery Easy plugin:

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-en...jquery-scripts/18327

So, disabling this pulgin alla works correctly!!

Anyway a problem persists: Facebook's icon doesn't appear....it doesnt' appear in any case ("modal popup-view" or "Always visible" view). You can check by yourself at link:

www.venturaluca.com/jupgrade2

I tried to reinstall JFBConnect and SCLogin packages but without success.

I pray you to help me to solve the problem (I sent to you credentials to access my Joomla Admin panel).

Let me know.

Thanks.

I found the problem about the missing icon of Facebook in "SCLogin" module!!

In the front end seems (as you told some posts ago) to be missing this files:

venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourceco...er/icon_facebook.png
venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourceco.../button_facebook.png
venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourceco...ider/icon_google.png
venturaluca.com/jupgrade2/media/sourceco...er/button_google.png

The problem is that:

a) last version of SCLogin module (v. 3.2.0) for Joomla 2.5 has no "images/provider" folder in it!! It has only an "images/" folder with only LinkedIn's images in it!
b) last version of JFBConnecto module (v. 5.2.0) for Joomla 2.5 has "images/provider" folder in it but it isn't uploaded on the server when you install the module! So I think there is some problem with the installation procedure (xml file not correct??).

So there are three solutions:

a) To upload "... /images/provider/..." images copying manually this folder from JFBConnect's package;
b) Update the SCLogin package inserting the missing image's folder in it;
c) Patch the JFBConnect package checking that the installation process copy also the "images\.." folder.

I think you should to apply both b) and c) solutions to avoid problems to other users (in the meantime I will apply a) solution).

Let me know, thanks.

Luca,
Sorry for the delay. We were traveling this weekend for the Joomla World Conference and that slowed down support more than we'd like. We're back now and will get you setup.

First, I'm glad you found the conflict with your other extension and authentication is working well for you.

As for the image buttons, they are a part of the JFBConnect package. Those buttons aren't just used for the SCLogin module, you can use the authentication features in other extensions. In the com_jfbconnect package you downloaded, there should be a media/images/provider/ directory with all the files. Our XML file for JFBConnect is responsible for automatically installing those. This isn't an issue we've heard from anyone else, and it's definitely a glaring issue, so we'd have heard of this a lot.

I'm not sure why those files aren't being installed for you, but hopefully the above helps you get it going and/or narrow things down. We'd love to hear what you find.

Thanks,
Alex
