Can any SC tech review/log-in to back-end and see why content isn't being 'pushed'?
Tried to follow the steps - not able to get it to work.
Thanks.

Are you referring to the automatic/manual posting of content through our Channels feature? If so, can you look at the history tab in the JFBConnect backend > Channels section and see if there are any warnings/errors showing there? Are there any warnings when you edit the channel in the backend? Before posting, are you able to see any test stream data in the channel? Those would be the first places that I would look. Also, I'd need more details such as what type of content are you attempting to push (Joomla articles, EasyBlog posts, etc).

I get "Fail - (#200) Permissions error" in the history section and unsure if a Facebook 'user' has to be added (none found) - if so, how.
Any way to have someone log-in and debug?
Thanks!

For the Channels feature to work, you'll need to authenticate on the front-end using your Facebook credentials. Then, setup the Channel that will post to your Facebook Page and re-authenticate on the front-end to grant any additional permissions that may be required to post to that Page on your behalf.

From what you said above, I can't tell if you've logged in on the front end using Facebook or not, but that's required.

Please let us know the steps you've gone through to setup the channel so we understand more about what you've done and what you expect. If there still remain issues, we can gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

I enabled the SC Login - and then get Facebook App issues to add/review/approve/etc.

I was under the impression that simply pushing articles automatically was an easy process... not.
Is there any SC tech support I can request to complete the process? If not - I'll need to look for something easier to implement.
Thanks.

To push content to a Facebook Page, Profile or Group, you need to grant permission to do so to an 'app', like JFBConnect. The authentication process is the way to do that and it's how Facebook require all apps that automatically post on a user's behalf to operate. Without that permission, there's no way for Facebook to know that JFBConnect is allowed to create posts to your Page.

While we try to make the setup process as easy as possible, we have to do it within the confines of what Facebook allows (granting permission) and how Joomla works (with user accounts). Our login with Facebook option is what satisfies both of those constraints.

As for support, this is it and we're here to help. We do have lots of documentation on how to setup different features. The channels setup is documented below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel
It will refer you to setting up normal authentication and setting your Facebook Application and the other building blocks that are required for posting to Facebook as well though.

I do hope that helps, but if you're still running into issues, please let us know where you're getting stuck and we can gladly point you in the right direction.

Thanks,
Alex

I'll try a few more steps...
After making a SC Login and logging in to the front-end, via my Facebook account - Facebook asks "Submit for Login Review | Some of the permissions below have not been approved for use by Facebook. | Submit for review now or learn more."

When trying to get the APP configured - it seems to say if posting by an ADMIN (which will always be the case) a review is not necessary.
What am I missing. If I can eventually connect - I'll really want the end user ADMIN (not me) to be and stay as the main user.

As well - if this ends up working... will the user need to always login to the site via the SC Login? Or can the normal Joomla login they now use also work to ensure all articles are automatically posted.

It seems that the Facebook user that you are logging in with is not an administrator of the Facebook app. If you go to developers.facebook.com and navigate to your app, please make sure that the user you're logging in with has a role in the app Dashboard > Roles area. An administrator or developer role should suffice. Once you've logged in and authenticated once with the FB user, you set that user as the Channel Owner in the JFBConnect > Channels area.

As well - if this ends up working... will the user need to always login to the site via the SC Login? Or can the normal Joomla login they now use also work to ensure all articles are automatically posted.

Once the channel has been set up with the above Channel Owner and the autopost settings in the channel have been set up, you should be able to disable the SCLogin module on your front-end and just log in as normal with Joomla credentials.
