Hi Alex,

I just did a test of the ease/understandability of our registration module using a person unfamiliar with our site or with the JFBConnect system. (I.e., a non-techie who would be similar to most of my site's users.) What I learned is that when she clicked on the "Register" modal button and the registration module appeared, it was not evident to her that she could register using Facebook (or the other services). See the screenshot below. Her suggestion was to move the social buttons to the top, as I've indicated in the screenshot. Additionally, I think a line of instructions explicitly telling people this is an option would be beneficial.

Is there a way to: 1) move the buttons to the location shown in the screenshot, and 2) to add a line of instruction just above the buttons?

Thanks!

Those login buttons from JFBConnect are actually added by JomSocial when you enable the "Integrate with JFBC" setting in their Facebook Connect settings area.

I'd recommend contacting them and letting them know that it'd be great if there was a setting to alter the position.

In the meantime, you can take a look at our JomSocial Integration guide . The steps in the JomSocial 2.8 section still apply to JomSocial 3.x. The files to edit are shown there, and you should be able to add the {JFBCLogin} tag to a higher portion in that file.

Another note is that you can use the tag like the following:
{JFBCLogin text=Register with}
That will append some text before the login buttons. Otherwise, since you're editing their template file anyway, you can add whatever description you want before the tag.

I hope that helps!
Alex
