I want to use a third party social sharing service instead of the default like button from Facebook and other social networks that are in the "Sharing" section settings.

As far as I understand, I can use the "Intro text" field for this, right?

I'm currently trying to disable all the buttons that are in your social sharing settings so that the third party social sharing service that I want to display in articles on my website will be displayed there.

We haven't done that before but theoretically you can. We just take whatever the text is in there and put it inside a div. However, I'm not sure if we still display that field if you turn off all the other buttons, but I'd say try it?

I put the social sharing service code in this field, then clicked "Apply changes" and this code is not saved in this field (probably there is a filter for code tags).

I also found that the Facebook like button does not load on my website and in the HTML view of the page I did not find the code for the Facebook like button when I enabled this option.

none of the social sharing buttons load with these settings on my website:

I didn't enable these options before and this time I decided to check if they work and they don't.

Sorry for the lengthy delay in response. We've been through multiple hurricanes and have intermittent internet right now.

Just checked my J5 test site and was able to see the buttons on my test site's article view. Make sure the JFBCContent plugin is enabled and the appropriate 'JFBConnect Provider' plugins are enabled for Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest. For the latest JFBConnect, this functionality is separated out into new plugins.

I enabled all the necessary plugins and I could see the sharing buttons, all the buttons except the Facebook buttons. My Facebook login app is still not approved, probably because of this the Facebook like button is not showing on my website.

please make it possible to add your custom HTML code in the social sharing settings, because now any custom HTML code is automatically deleted when saving the settings.
