Hi, I have configured all the Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter but how can I only show FB and Twitter without deleting the config?

Best,
Oddgeir

Are you saying you only want to allow users to register/login using Facebook and Twitter, but want to leave LinkedIn and Google configured? If so, there isn't a way in JFBConnect to do that right now. We haven't had a request to disable login features for a certain social network, but I can see adding an option for something like that in the future.

If you want help disabling the login for any social providers, we can gladly help you with some minor code changes that would disable whichever you don't want to show the buttons for.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your reply Alex,
Do I understand this right if I remove the config for ex. Google and LinkedIn the buttons will not show up? And if I need them to show later I just fill in the config again?

Thanks,
Oddgeir

Correct! Removing the Google+ keys shouldn't have any effect on your site. If you remove the LinkedIn API keys, there will be some widgets like the LinkedIn Member, LinkedIn Company profile and a few others that won't work. Those require an API key to function. The standard LinkedIn Share button doesn't require a key and should function just fine without it.

If you have any other questions, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for reply, by the way I keep getting this message when login in via Twitter:

Whoa there!
The request token for this page is invalid. It may have already been used, or expired because it is too old. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake.
It worked earlier.

Any advice on that?

No. Never seen or heard of that issue before. Can you let me know a URL where we can test logging in with Twitter on?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi, sorry about forgetting to send a url ex to log in, here it is: webjobbing.com/community
From my side it´s at the moment not possible to log in to the site via Twitter, it stops and showing a blank page: screencast.com/t/8LWfSjrHj
I also tried it on a PC in a shop with same result.

Hope you can try :)

Best,
Oddgeir

I just tried on your site to register and login with Twitter and I didn't run into any issues. The first image below is when registering and then the second is after logging out and logging back in:

So, the good news is that it's working for me. If you're seeing a blank page, that means there's a PHP error somewhere. What I would recommend is:
1) Going to the Joomla global configuration area and setting "Error Reporting" to "Maximum". Then, try again and see if a better error message is shown instead of that blank page.
2) Try logging out of Twitter.com and back in. Then try to re-log in. Alternatively, try a completely different Twitter account, just in case.

Let me know if either helps narrow things down, and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi again Alex, this was the error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined method JFBConnectProviderTwitterOauth1::resetConnection() in /var/www/vhosts/webjobbing.com/httpdocs/components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/provider/twitter.php on line 131
I tried to log out of Twitter and in again. Then I tried again but still "blank". I also used another Twitter account with same result.
I also deleted the Twitter app (new api/secret) and made a new one: same result - blank page
I also remembered to: screencast.com/t/XLxvuUmNl Allow the application to be…
Is still giving me this blank page in all browsers, Chrome, Safari, Firefox

<<REMOVED>>

All the other logins are working fine, but Twitter is my preferred so want this to work.

Thanks
Oddgeir

We'll test shortly. In the future, please note that these are public forums. I deleted your credentials, but it's possible someone else was following this thread and got an email with the information you just provided.

If you'd like to send private information, please use the Private Message mail icon to the left under my picture.
