I have changed the permissions to 777 on both the images and avatar folders. No images are showing up in the profile page. No images are showing up in the folder. This is a clean site just installed everything. Before I wipe it down and try again do you have any ideas?

Did a fresh install of everything and I am still getting the same error.

All directories are 777.

Looks like you're using 3.0RC1, which is fine. Can't say I know what the issue is, but if you can send me a super admin account to log into the back end, we can dig into the problem and let you know the solution. You can send it through PM by clicking the arrow under my name to the left and clicking the mail icon.

777 will not be the solution, and we'd suggest undoing that to a better setting where the directories are writeable to Joomla, but not to everyone.

we switched you to super admin. There was no mail icon under your name on the forum that I could see. Even after clicking on the arrow.

You'll need to create me an account, as we can't log into the backend using JFBConnect since you have Facebook Only Users set. Since we don't have a login button for the back-end, just upgrading the user I have won't work. Again, please try to PM me an account. Use the arrow on the left and 3 icons will appear. The right-most icon is an envelope and pen. If you hover over it, it says "Private Message". Use that to send the details.

When I was poking around in the site though, if I went to JomSocial's Profile->Edit Details link, I would get a PHP error about a redefined Facebook class. Please ensure that JomSocial's FB features are completely disabled (they appear to be, but want to make sure). Also, are there any other Facebook extensions your using on your site?

We're looking into why the PM isn't showing up for you. For our admin and some of our test accounts, it's showing up. Sorry for the problems.

Importing avatars works on your site now. Not sure why, but using curl to fetch files isn't working on your system. My only guess is due to how Facebook provides an avatar url which then redirects elsewhere.. some systems don't allow following redirects, though we try to override that setting. I changed a line of code to force using the alternate 'copy' method, and that seems to work. We haven't heard of anyone having this issue before, but we'll look into making the copy vs curl a setting in the back-end for just this situation in the future.

Please test, and be wary of this problem when you upgrade (if we haven't added the setting by then). What we did:
in /components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/profile.php, line ~124:
Comment (//) out the entire if block at the top and the else { } at the bottom leaving only the copy() statement uncommented.

P.S. We installed the component eXtplorer, a file manager in order to modify files in our component. Feel free to uninstall if you don't want it.

I'm on safari on os 1.5 mac. It didn't show up on safari either. I'll get you more information n our setup for the bug. We are on dreamhost. Also our domain is setup for both www.illtrafeyou.net and just illltradeyou.net no www. Is there any other info you need that wasn't available on the php info page?

Thanks for fixing the problem . What file do I need to keep in case I want to reinstall the site from scratch?

or just send me the code and I will edit it myself.

looks good. except the image is really pixelated in the large profile pic. Is it supposed to be or will that get fixed.
